Halloween

We had a wonderful Halloween weekend with our boys! On Saturday night, Logan got to help carve his pumpkin and bake pumpkin seeds for the first time. He loved it! Here is the pumpkin before... Carving with DaddyThe pumpkin after. He picked the design himself out of one of those books. He is sort of frowning, but that is the one that he liked :)On Sunday morning, we took Graham to church for the first time because it was All Saints Day. This is where they say the names of everyone who has passed away over the last year. It was pretty sad, but they ended the service with a beautiful arrangement of When the Saints go Marching in--complete with a jazz clarinet and trombone. Awesome! Logan is doing great going to Sunday school now which makes me really happy! It's so wonderful to be able to go to church as a family.

(Side Note: I've been super paranoid about taking Graham out and about...whenever I have, I have worn him in my Moby wrap which completely covers him up. For anyone to see him, they have to ask and I have to pull the fabric back. This gives me the chance to take a step back so they can't touch him ;) He hasn't had his whooping cough vax yet (can't until 2 months) and with cold/flu season, I'm just super worried! I read that if they get a fever at this age, they have to admit them in the hospital and do a spinal tap :( I plan to ask his pediatrician tomorrow when I can begin to relax...I know with Logan, they told me not to take him anywhere until 8 weeks and he was born in the summer....Okay, back to Halloween.)

Shane took Logan to his parent's church for their Trunk-or-Treat. He loved it! Here he is trunk-or-treating and going down the huge slide.

Afterwards, we let Logan trick-or-treat at a few houses in our neighborhood. This is really the first year that he has "gotten" Halloween. Last year, we moved to TX on Halloween, and he spiked a fever the same day. This combined with the fact that he hated the idea of wearing a costume, kept him from trick-or-treating last year. So, we were glad he had a great time this year!

Thomas and our new little pumpkinI couldn't resist putting in a few cute pictures of Graham. My friend Mandi makes these ADORABLE pumpkin hats and sent us one for a baby gift. Aren't they the cutest?! Sleeping through Halloween :)

  1. Awe, I'm glad he really liked Halloween this year! Paxton was totally into it and was all about some trick or treating! Next year will be even more fun :o)

Graham is getting some of the best sickness fighting stuff around so I'm sure he'll stay wonderfully healthy all season long!
