Soooooooo sick.....
Well, I hope that all of you reading this are happy and healthy celebrating the New Year. My New Years has not started off so well....we drove back from Texas on Monday and I optimistically thought that Shane and I had been lucky and not gotten Logan's stomach bug. I thought wrong. That night (about 48 hours after Logan got sick) Shane started to not feel well. I sent him to bed in the spare bedroom. A few minutes later he came in to tell me that he was officially sick. At this point I was beginning to not feel "right." Not 15 minutes later and we were both sick. I am so thankful that Logan's seemed to be more mild then what attacked Shane and I. We were both sick alllllll night long. By the morning, I really thought it was never going to end. Shane was feeling better and I was getting worse and worse. Shane took me to my doctor who gave me a shot and took blood, then sent me to the hospital for fluids. I have never ever had anything like this in my life. It was awful. I literally took my pillow and was lying down on dirty floors all over the place. I didn't even care (and you know I do not like germs.) At the hospital, we had to wait awhile and I just couldn't manage to sit in the chair anymore and I just laid down on the floor in the middle of everyone. They finally brought me a stretcher. My blood pressure was pretty low, and my fever kept creeping up. They didn't really want to release me but since my dr had sent me over in outpatient they had to send me home once I could keep down a sprite. I have been in bed for the past few days and now have moved to the couch.
I have to say such a big THANK YOU to everyone who helped us out through this big mess. Megan was such a lifesaver to come over so early in the morning and stay with Logan while Shane took me to the doctor/hospital. Also, to Marty who drove in from Texas to help take care of Logan while Shane recovered and worked. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
Okay, that's all for now. I'm off to rest some more...

Oh yuck! That sounds terrible! I'm glad to hear you've upgraded to the couch and hope you continue to improve quickly. Gotta get 2009 of to a good start!

I'm just glad to know you are feeling better! It's better to start a year out icky then to end it that way! You have plenty of time to make up for the way everything started :)
