Catch up
A few pictures I've been meaning to post....the first few are from our camping trip 5/7. I told Shane that I should have won wife of the year for tent camping with no bathrooms while 4 months pregnant!
I took Logan to the butterfly festival a few weeks ago and he LOVED it. He keeps asking to go back but it's over now. Can you see the butterfly on my head?! They would land all over you.
Wow! Have we been busy lately! I was just thinking how glad I am that several "big" things I've been working towards and planning for are over. It's such a relief!
Last Sunday, May 16th Lucy and I had to renew our Delta Pet Therapy registration. This is a two part evaluation which scores both me AND Lucy in many different areas. Poor Lucy has put on 3 pounds since the winter and moving into our smaller yard, so she's been having a lot more trouble with her shoulder displaysia. I've been seeing a vet here that I'm pretty happy with but wound up taking her in the week before the evaluation because she was chewing on a spot on her leg. This comes and goes and is related to the pain. She'll chew it bloody if I don't stay on top of it. They gave her 2 shots and very strong antibiotics. Poor girl! Anyways, I was a little extra nervous because of that but also because these were totally new evaluators to me since moving to Texas. Thankfully, Lucy and I did great. She got a complex rating (the highest score.) I'm breathing a huge sigh of relief not to have to do that again until 2012!
Saturday we had Logan's birthday party at our house. Yes, it is true--tomorrow my baby turns THREE!! Can you believe it?! Logan LOVED his party and loved seeing all of his family and close friends. It was a little extra stressful for me since we had it at our house and most of the people we invited had not seen it yet. But, it worked out great. We also had some dear friends travel in for the weekend from Little Rock and it was wonderful to catch up. I'll post some pictures after his actual birthday tomorrow.
I'm 18 weeks pregnant today and feeling this little one move a lot! Shane felt his first kick last week too. Amazing!! I'm still getting my weekly shots which are going fine, although last week it left a large bruise and itchy welt :( I'm feeling pretty tired the evening after my shot, and am pretty sore on whichever cheek the shot was that week, but other then that am symptom free. Our big ultrasound is a week from Thursday and we just can't wait. We are (of course) excited to know if it is a girl or a boy, but we're also really wanting to know that there are no complications. I was 19 weeks and a few days when I started bleeding with Logan, so both Shane and I are getting more and more nervous as we creep up on that 19 week mark. We're just continuing to think positive and looking forward to hearing good news! Tonight we were watching TV and a commericial for something came on that showed an ultrasound picture. Logan said, "Hey! That's the same baby we're getting!" Oh my gosh, he makes me laugh so hard!! :)
I also haven't written a potty training update in awhile. Logan is doing so, so great. We're so proud of him! He still has the occasional accident (poop.....) but has the pee thing down. He's even waking up dry most mornings now! We're thinking the pooping is just a little harder for him to get for some reason but are greatful that he is getting it most of the time. He went 3 days without any accidents at all, but then had one yesterday. As he says, "That just happens sometimes." (How can you object when he puts it that grown up?!)
It's also our 7 year wedding anniversary today! Happy Anniversary, Honey! Here's to many, many more years together :)
