Potty Training: Update
Last night Logan peed in the potty! Woo hoo!! Yesterday, I set the potty watch to go off every 60 mins and had him sit for 10 mins every time. No success during the day, in fact I cleaned up several accidents on the carpet....by the time Shane came home I was sort of thinking, "Am I doing this right?!" As we caught up on our day, I told him just how frustrated I was and how I felt sort of stuck. I didn't feel like we were making progress, but I felt like we were too far in to just say, "Nevermind. We'll try again in a month." And, not 15 mins later--Logan peed on the potty! The cute little truck started going "beep, beep, beep" and most of the pee sprayed everywhere because he was so surprised! Ha! But, we were SO excited and proud. Maybe this is sinking in yet?? He called both sets of grandparents to say, "I pee-peed on the potty! I can do it!" and we made it a really big deal.
We're doing the same thing today and there has been no pee in the potty yet, but only 1 accident. Here's hoping for more potty tinkles as the day progresses!
Edited: We just had another success after lunchtime today!!! Potty watch went off, we headed for the potty, I got 2 words into reading him a book and BAM--he peed! Go Logan, Go! He even kept it all in the potty this time =)
