The Zoo

We took Logan to the Dallas Zoo today and we had a great time. He LOVED it! He's been asking to go to the "Animal Zoo" (as he calls it) since we moved here. It was such a relaxing family day. He loves birds and really enjoyed seeing all of the different kinds. It was funny because on the way there we asked him what kind of animal he wanted to see the most and he said the ducks. Funny!! He also wore his hat and/or fish sunglasses most of the day.

Lions and tigers and bears, OH MY!!

We've also made MAJOR progress on potty training this weekend! Woo hoo!!!! End of last week he started consistently peeing on the potty in the evening. Today, he was completely dry when we got home from the zoo and peed on the potty right away. He also has started telling me when he has to go and peed several times tonight before bed. This is huge progress for us. Maybe it has clicked! He's very excited because we have this huge jar filled up with small toys (mostly hot wheels) that he gets to choose from whenever he pees on the potty. I also love that potty watch. Sometimes he doesn't really want to sit on the potty, but when it goes off he is so happy!! Tonight, he made me laugh because we were sitting in bed reading books and he said, "I have to go pee-pee." And I said, "okay!! Let's go!" He hopped off the bed and pulled his pjs and pull up down by himself, sat on the potty and peed!! He loves to carry the pee from his little potty (the bowl part comes out) to the big potty, dump it in and flush. Some big moments for us this weekend!
And, if you're super tired of reading about potty training I apologize!! You may just need to skip my blog until we're through this phase.....LOL

  1. Girl, share the potty stories. They are small victories! Logan is a smart boy, I am so glad he is getting it now!
