New Items

I've been staying really busy with my Etsy shop these days! Around Thanksgiving I invested in an embroidery machine and I'm loving it! It's awesome and has really helped my business too :) Here are a few pictures of what I've been working on lately. I know that some of you aren't on Facebook and enjoy seeing what I'm working on, so thanks for taking a peek!

January Pictures

Hey There! Here are a few pictures of the boys from this month. Graham is getting really big! His 3 month check up went really well, too. The pediatrician thought his head had rounded out a lot and said that we didn't need to do a helmet. Thank goodness! He's holding his head up completely on his own now and just growing, growing every day. He loves to laugh and smile. I constantly have people coming up to me when we're out and about telling me how cute he is and how he's smiling at them.

Here's Graham playing on the floor
I asked Shane to snap this picture when he was asleep on my chest a few weeks ago. It was one of those times when I was sitting there staring at him and just wanted to remember his sweet face at this age. Look at those little fat lips!

Here's Logan enjoying all of his Christmas presents. Our playroom is fully stocked now! He still loves trains. That is the Thomas the Train Misty Island set.
How else can you burn off energy on a COLD January day? Riding your bike in the garage! I backed my car out and we played with all of his "outside" toys-football, basketball and BUBBLES! He had a blast.

Graham has been enjoying his reclining high chair that my Mom got him for Christmas. It attaches to one of our kitchen chairs so he can sit at the table with us while we eat or play games. It has been so nice! I think he really enjoys being at the same height as everyone else. And, no we're not starting him on solids anytime soon, he's just enjoying the chair for now :)

He just started being able to sit in the Bumbo chair and he seems to like it! He's also really starting to like having a toy with him to hold. EVERYTHING is already going in his mouth.

The debate is still out on his hair color. His baby hair has pretty much all fallen out and his new hair is growing in. It's pretty light, but not as light as Logan's. It's possible it will have some auburn/strawberry in it, but Shane doesn't think so. It's probably going to be a sandy blond color. I guess we'll see as the months go by!

Christmas 2010

I'm finally getting some Christmas pictures up! It hasn't taken me that long....right?!

On Christmas Eve Eve I spent the day finishing up our Christmas shopping and doing some baking. That night we put the boys in their pj's and headed out to look at lights. I'm so glad we did! It really helped me to get in the holiday spirit and Logan loved it.

Here are the boys right before we left. I think I've mentioned what a difficult picture taking age Logan is in, haven't I? It is awful...I usually get a silly pirate face, a fake smile with tons of teeth or this which is him talking. This is the best one I got....

Christmas Eve we woke up and finished our baking and headed over to my Mom's. We all loaded up and took the boys to the Children's service at church which was really cute. Christmas Eve is traditionally when we open all of our presents in my family, so here are a few pictures from our gift exchange.

Here is Logan with his panda bear pillow pet from Uncle Marty and Aunt Jill
Graham's sweet smile!! We headed home after that and got the boys to bed. I think it was the latest Logan had ever stayed up. EVER. We had a "slumber party" and let him sleep on the floor in our room so we'd all be together first thing Christmas morning. He was so happy! Logan was so groggy in the morning but the first thing he said was, "I want to see what Santa brought me!" So cute!!

Graham smiling at Logan while Logan opened all of his presents (Graham's presents) and showed him what they were =) Logan LOVED opening presents this year and would have opened all of everyone's gifts if they would have let him!

My Granddad, me and the boys

We had a very Merry Christmas and are so grateful for all that we have and for all of our wonderful friends and family. We had two beloved family members missing from our circle this year: my sweet Grandma Jean (my Granddad's wife who passed away in January) and my Daddy. I can say honestly that I struggled a lot with the holidays this year and missed them both terribly. There was a part of me that just didn't feel right about celebrating with my Dad not there. There was also a part of me that still kept thinking he'd walk through the door. (Does that ever go away?) I did the best I could to make the holidays special for the boys and to enjoy Graham's first Christmas. I really do believe that it is possible to be terribly sad and joyful at the same time. I look at my precious baby, that my Dad will never know, and feel both of those emotions every day....that is just the life, I guess. I know that many of you said a prayer for our family at your holiday table this year, and for that I am very grateful.
