Teeth

So, I failed miserable at my whole "post a picture every day in July" thing.I'll just go back to blogging as often as I can....things are crazy around here these days! (Did I mention that they're crazy?!) Graham is crawling and he is EVERYWHERE. I leave him for 2 seconds, and he's crawled to the dog water and splashed the entire thing all over the walls/floor by the time I get back. He loves the dog bowls because they're stainless steel and make a loud noise when banging them on the tile. He is cutting TWO teeth, yet is still his happy self. Most nights, he's down to waking 2 times to eat at 12am and 4am, but we've had several nights of 2am parties. He's just awake. Not mad, but just awake. Shane and I have been tag teaming, and each rocking/shhshing/bouncing for about an hour at a time. Not sure what is going on with that, but it's exhausting. Maybe it's the teeth? Even though it's tough now, I just keep thinking about how incredibly fast these past 4 years have gone with Logan. I know that pretty soon, Graham will be 4 and wanting to do everything on his own. I'm going to celebrate this first year--sleepless nights and all!

Beyond that, business is awesome! I've been trying to find "regular" sewing hours and attempting to fit more balance in my life. 5 nights out of the week, I sew from 8-midnight (at least.) I rarely sew during the day when the boys are awake, unless it's Saturday morning when Shane is home. I'm over 150 sales on Etsy now--WOO HOO!--and just had my first international sale. I always said that I would consider my shop a success whenever I was averaging one sale per day, and I have been there for awhile now! Yay!

Look at those teeth! (and drool!)I love this snapshot of Logan, but look how OLD he looks!!!

Booker

Ok, so I got a little discouraged with my mobile blogging because my pictures were turning out grainy! But, was coming up the stairs tonight and saw the same familiar sight that I see every night and wanted to share it with you.

That's Booker asleep against Graham's door. The boy's doors are right next to each other and he sleeps in this hallway. Here's both of the doors.

I always talk about Lucy, but Booker is such a great dog too. Here is a (not so great quality-wise) picture of him letting Graham play with his ears yesterday :)

Today

Today, we moved Graham to his big boy car seat. He seemed happy!

He's been sleeping awful the last two nights. I just realized that there is a tooth breaking through! This is right on schedule with Logan who cut his first one at 9 months too. Poor thing!! However, I must admit that I'm relieved to have a reason for the sleepless nights. Mommy and Daddy are tired!

Today, Logan asked me where the grocery stores get their apples. Just something he thought of while riding in the car. His little brain amazes me.

While I sew...

My business is going really well--better then I dared to hope when I first started. I'm SO excited about this! I thought I'd give you insight into what goes on around me if I try to sew during the day....

I "attempt" to keep Graham over by the door and away from any electric cords. I'm usually running back and forth a lot. Honestly, 99% of my sewing time is at night, but with Graham waking up at 5:30 or 6, lately, it's been a challenge to keep that up.

I usually try to set Logan up a craft station, so he does stickers, stamps, coloring, etc. The end of my embroidery table works well.

I hear a lot of "How much more do you have to sew?" And, I'll say, "Not much! Just an N, an A and an H!" And, we count down together. Nothing like multi-tasking!

Sand Box

Since blogging is so much easier now (and since my posts have been few and far between lately) I'm going to post a picture every day until the end of July. I know that we have lots of friends and family reading that don't get to see us all that often. Hopefully, this will give you a glimpse into our every day lives. And, make up for the lack of updates lately.

These pictures are from yesterday. We spent some time in the sand box before the day heated up too much. Logan LOVES his sandbox! Graham enjoyed it too, but really wanted to put every stick/leaf/pebble in his mouth. Mommy is working overtime these days to keep up with him!

Bonham

We spent Saturday in Bonham visiting Shane's grandparents. We really enjoyed spending time with them! Here are some pictures of the boys with their great grandparents.

Shane's Mom's parents (The boys were both kind of wiggly in these first few...)

PS: I LOVE this new blogging app!! I think you'll be hearing from me MUCH more often now =)
