Beautiful Day

Today is such a beautiful day! I put Graham in his Texas Longhorns shirt this morning. Logan saw him and immediately wanted to change and put his on. He even made me put on mine! Too cute!! I couldn't resist taking some pictures of the boys in their matching t-shirts while we were playing outside.

We're thinking the boys are starting to look a LOT alike! Here is a picture of Logan when he was about the same size (he was 6 months here.)
Compared to Graham. See the resemblance?

Valentine's Day

The boys had a wonderful Valentine's Day! We started off early celebrating with a Mommy breakfast at Logan's school. They had been off the entire week before due to weather, so we were doing all of their crafts to get ready for the Valentine's Day party. Logan had so much fun showing me everything in his classroom. I really enjoyed getting to see everything that he does when he is there. They had the cutest little activities!! Here are some goofy pictures of Logan that I took while I was there.

Being silly with his friendsOn Valentine's Day, we hosted our playgroups Valentine's Day party. It was so much fun! This was the first thing I've been able to host in about a year with everything going on, so it was great to get back into the swing of things. I (of course) forgot to take pictures, but I got these from our playgroups website. The yummy food! (I didn't do the cupcakes but the sandwiches at the other end of the table, LOL)

Graham's first Valentine's Day!!
I also took Graham for his 4 month check up. I cannot believe that he is 4 months old already!! The doctor said he looked perfect-head and all! Yay! He is 14 lbs 9 oz. It's actually going to work out well this summer because since Logan was so tiny, all of his Spring/Summer stuff is 9-12 months sizs. Graham's already wearing 6 months, so he'll definitely be in those sizes come summer!

What a week!

Over the weekend, the temperatures were in the 70's. We spent lots of time outside. Logan is loving riding his bike now and pedaling like a big boy!

He LOVES to run circles in the yard and tackle Daddy

I even brought Graham outside to enjoy the beautiful weather on Saturday. (Please excuse my crazy, first thing in the morning appearance ;) I was even still drinking my coffee!)
Then, Monday rolls around and it starts to get cold. By Tuesday morning we had major ice and sleet covering the streets and ground. It came in around 4am and was so loud that it woke all four of us up. School was cancelled for Logan on Tuesday, but by the time Wednesday and Thursday rolled around, the ice was still there! Today we woke up to this:
This was supposed to be a "light dusting" of snow. I'd say we have a good 6-8 inches out there and it's still snowing. It's 3pm now! I can honestly say that I have never seen this much snow. Ever. It's absolutely insane. Schools were cancelled for the FOURTH day in row today. This is absolutely unheard of in the Dallas area. Needless to say, we're all getting very stir crazy and Mommy is having to get pretty creative to keep everyone occupied today. Here's hoping we can leave the house tomorrow!
I went outside first thing and scooped up enough snow to make 2 batches of snow ice cream. We made our first one this morning and I must say that is was delicious! Logan definitely approved. These two pictures were taken on 1/26/11, but I forgot to put them on the post I did with January pictures. They were too cute not to include!!

Graham Rolled Over!

Yesterday, sweet Graham ROLLED OVER from his tummy to his back! Go Graham! I looked at Shane and said, "It's ON now!" because I know this is the first of many milestones towards having a mobile baby on our hands. He was upstairs with me playing on a blanket in the sewing room and I put him on his tummy for "tummy time." Something told me that I shouldn't turn my back to him and start sewing. Thank goodness I listened to that Mommy instinct or I would have missed it! I yelled, and brought him downstairs and grabbed the video camera. Then, he rolled again for Shane on camera. Yay! Since then, every single time I put him on his tummy, he just rolls over onto his back. So cute!! He will be 4 months on Monday the 7th (which is hard to believe!) This was right at a month earlier then Logan rolled over for the first time, however, Graham is a lot larger and stronger then Logan was at this age.

This week he's started sleeping 4ish hour stretches at night, so I'm happy about that. I'm honestly not in a hurry for him to sleep through the night....is that crazy? I would love it if he started sleeping a 4-5 hour stretch when I'm actually asleep though! (Usually, his longest stretch of sleep is when I first put him to bed. Of course, I never go to bed then since it's around 7 or so...) I'm still breastfeeding and that is going great! I'll take him for his 4 month check up next week, so I'm anxious to get a weight on him. I haven't been monitoring him quite as regularly since he has been gaining so well. Based on our home scale he is over 14 lbs now!
