Graham-8 Months

Graham is now 8 month old and just getting cuter by the day :) He loves being outside and is really enjoying swimming, both in the baby pool and in Memaw's big pool. Right around Logan's birthday, we made the move to having him sleep in his crib all night long. (We were putting him to sleep there and then I was bringing him to bed with me around 2am or so for the remainder of the night.) I had been sleeping in the upstairs bedroom/sewing room to be closer to him, and now I'm back downstairs. Shane's been helping (I go up and nurse him and then he comes up and rocks him back to sleep) with the 2nd feeding which is wonderful. Graham's been doing really well with the change! He's down to waking up about 2 times (sometimes 3) to nurse, but that is in a 11-12 hour time period. Both of our boys are asleep by 8pm every night. Graham sometimes by 7 or 7:30pm.

I'm not worried about the night feedings because he is really not eating much solid food at all. His little tummy is having trouble adjusting from breastmilk to solid foods and he gets terribly constipated. Right now, he's only able to handle about 1 container of baby food per day. I've been working on some different things so that hopefully he can start eating more soon. He loves it so it's kind of sad that I can't give him more. I know that he'll be so happy when he can have some finger foods!

Here are some recent pictures of him. He's sitting up really well now.Hanging out in the bumbo (I think he's done with it now though. If I try to put him in there, he bails out now.)The boys are kind of getting to the age where they can "play" and interact more together. I love to read both of them books together. Logan is a big help with Graham and is constantly watching out for his little brother.

Sweet faceStanding up! He's not pulling up, but if you hold his hands or lean him up against something, he can stand up. Crazy!!

And the biggest development lately....the ARMY CRAWL!! He is using his arms and dragging himself all over the place. When that doesn't work, he power rolls. He is now putting some weight on his knees and moving forward one scoot. He'll be crawling before long....I have a feeling life is about to get even crazier!!

Birthday Pictures

The day before Logan's birthday, I let him pick anything to have for breakfast the next morning. He picked chocolate chip muffins! That afternoon we had his Pirate Birthday Party! Here's our kitchen all decorated for the party. My friend Megan made this awesome banner for us. Isn't is beautiful?! I ordered a bunch of simple cupcakes and made pirate cupcake toppers for them. Me and the birthday boy

I can't believe he is FOUR!

This was the first year that Logan really had input on his party. It was fun to hear what kind of party he wanted to have, who he wanted to invite and what he wanted to do there. We played a couple of games, starting with "Sink the Ship." Basically, Shane drew a pirate ship and we put it on a cardboard box. The kids had to throw bean bags into the box to try to "sink" it. Next, we had a Treasure Hunt! Shane drew this awesome map of our backyard and made it kind of like an obstacle course.

Through the tunnel...Checking out the map.... Up the swing set, down the slide...."Walk the plank"....And, find the buried treasure.

TREASURE!! (I love all these blond heads checking out the "loot!")

Last, we played Pin the Tail on the Crocodile. I drew out the crocodile on cardstock and then drew a bunch of tails. We just blindfolded the kids and let them try to stick the tail in the right place. I think that the boys had a great time and certainly enjoyed their cupcakes!

Yummy!! Cake!!After the party, we had a couple of hours to regroup before our family came over for another one :) We kept it simple, got a bunch of pizza and ate left over cupcakes. Logan loved it!

Here he is with his family presents

I love this one of Logan with his Grandpa

Our "big" present for him this year was a bike. (It's a wooden one with no pedals so they learn to ride without training wheels.) Here he is trying to get the hang of it. (And, yes, we're working on a helmet ;) )

Mmmmmm....More cake!

It was a wonderful day! We are so grateful for all of our wonderful family and friends that helped make this one special for him.

Logan's FOUR!

My sweet boy turned FOUR on May 25th. I'm still catching up on pictures but here are some birthday shots from the last few years.
