End of Summer Recap: August

We finished up our summer spending a lot of family time, doing a lot of bubbles, bug hunting, tent making, arts and crafts. I got so used to having Logan home with us all of the time, that I dreaded school starting. As much as I knew that it would be such a wonderful experience for him, I was so nervous and spent much of August watching the days tick off the calendar.

The Friday before school started, we were able to take Logan to see his class room and meet his teacher. Here are the boys being silly before we left.
Checking out his work space in his class room.
There is his locker! How exciting!

First day of school...doesn't he look ready to go? We are not morning people, so having to be out the door by 7:20am has been a pretty tough adjustment for all of us.

Graham wasn't really sure what was happening, but he was enjoying the fun!

Finally ready for his first day to begin!

Summer Recap: July

In early July, Logan attended VBS at our church for the first time. It was such a wonderful experience for him! He really enjoyed it and said that it was "the best playdate EVER!"

I spent a lot of one-on-one time with Logan over the summer as we prepared for kindergarten to start in the fall. We spent a lot of that time painting.
Graham learned how to drag chairs all across the kitchen, which included getting into everything that was on the counter tops. This particular day it was dumping an entire bag of coffee everywhere....this has totally changed the way we live because nothing is safe now.

 It's a good thing he's cute!

At the end of July, we faced our very first ER visit with Graham...to the tune of SEVEN stitches. It was awful and traumatic and....heartbreaking.

BUT, he was back to his old self really quickly (this was taken the very next morning.)

Summer Recap: June

We took Logan to see the Roughriders play with his t-ball team (so HOT, but so much fun!)

In June, we took our first family vacation. We headed over to East Texas to ride a steam engine, then down to Galveston. Here are the boys in their "road trip" shirts (Are we there yet? Are we there yet?)

Enjoying the view around where the engine was parked

Riding the train. The boys LOVED it!

Then we headed down to Galveston for some R and R.
Seeing the water
Enjoying Moody Gardens

Wrapped up t-ball at the end of June with Daddy handing out trophies to each player

Summer Recap: May

Mother's Day 2012 (Graham still had his black eye, forever commemorated in my Mother's Day picture from 2012)

Last Day of pre-k for Logan (sniff, sniff...you can even tell his teacher had been crying.) They also celebrated his birthday this day because the last day of school was May 23rd.
Last time to play on the school playground before summer break.
May 25th, 2012--Logan's 5th Birthday
