me and michael urie

So....in the wedding I was in last Friday I was paired up with Micheal Urie from Ugly Betty. I was kind of bummed because I didn't get a picture of it. But, THEN--I just found these on FB. Woo hoo!!

Pumpkin Patch 2009

Here are some cute pictures from the Dallas Arboretum last week. Logan had a blast!

Sarah's Wedding

Last night was one of my dearest friends wedding and it was beautiful! Here are just a few pictures from the night....

Angela, Meghan, Sarah, Faith and me--We were all best friends in HS and it was a reunion of sorts for us!! Two of them I had not seen since my wedding 6 years ago. Man, how time flies...
Me and the beautiful bride. We've been friends over 20 years!
me and Shane =)
My parents were able to come for awhile and we took the opportunity to get some family pics!!

I love this picture of me and my Daddy!!

Camping

We were brave and went camping this weekend despite the yucky weather and COLD temperatures!! We just didn't want to disappoint Logan. He had been talking all week about sleeping in a tent. We wore lots of layers and actually really enjoyed our little family get away.

The boys setting up the tent
Woo hoo! The tent is up!He loved his little bed in the tent =) The boys bundled up by the fire
Brrrrrrr!!!!! (We tried to get Logan to wear his other hat with ear flaps but he only would wear this one. You win some, you lose some....)

"So....tell me about this smores thing again"
"Why didn't you tell me about smores before?? These are delicious!!"
In other news, we have a few serious lookers for our house. We're crossing our fingers for an offer soon! Logan and I are leaving this Friday for TX for over a week. My friend Sarah's wedding is the 23rd and there are bridal showers this weekend that I wanted to go to. So, we'll be taking a load (and a kitty) to my parents house. When we come back after the wedding it is MOVING WEEK! Shane has taken that week off of work, so we'll be packing and sorting getting ready for the movers to come on Oct 30th.

Oh, how I LOVE Fall!

First off, I have to say that sometimes I wish I could switch places with my animals. I snapped this picture of Booker on one of those days when I was running around like a crazy person with everything we have had going on lately. In the middle of my chaos, here he is with his head on a pillow and everything!!! Spoiled rotten!! LOL
Now, onto Fall. I LOVE Fall. It is one of the major things that I am going to miss about AR. Having four distinct seasons and watching the leaves change is something I have just fallen in love with. I enjoy looking out my back windows every morning and seeing what the trees are doing. This time of year, you can see the leaves gradually changing color and then they start to drop. All winter, you can see far out into the woods because none of the trees have their leaves. Then, one day--when you least expect it--you see tiny buds of green. And, all of sudden, Spring creeps in....I'm truly going to miss waking up to this every morning.

Logan and I have been trying to soak up as much outside time as we can (whenever it's not raining!!) I tried to take this picture of us playing in the backyard but he jumped up right when the camera snapped. It turned out pretty funny!
I love this picture. Whatever he is telling Lucy is very important, apparently, LOL.

Running, running and more running!

Little man in the front yard. This is his hat. He LOVES this hat and rarely leaves the house without it anymore! Too funny!
If this rain stops, we have a camping trip planned for this weekend. We can't wait! We took Logan last Fall and although we had fun, he was too small to really understand it. This week we've been talking a lot about sleeping in a tent and he is really excited! We're meeting some friends up there and it's going to be a blast!

Vegas, Baby!

Yeah! I went to Target last night and used my memory card to put my Vegas pictures on a disk. I'm so excited that you can do this because I was afraid I would have to wait for my pictures forever since my camera cord was already packed. Woo hoo!! Here's a little peak into our trip...

Sarah (the bride) and I at this really cool bar which overlooked a manmade lake/light show. It was beautiful!!
Me in front of some fountains
This is the funny day that we wore our wigs =) Here I am next to a wax statue of a blue man. Here we all are eating at this little Mexican food place. The two "pinks" (me and Katie)This is all of us eating dinner at Olives in the Bellagio. We sure clean up nice after having our wigs on all day!!!Sarah and I out dancing that night

Whirlwind!!!

Catch up time!! Things have been crazy in our household lately. Crazy. Did I mention that things have been crazy?? Last weekend, I went to Vegas for Sarah's bachellorette party. This was my first time there (well--I've flown through Vegas many, many times but this was my first time actually IN the city.) I have to say that it is a fun, bright, shiny city but I much prefer NYC or Chicago. I'm not a huge gambler or drinker, so that left it a little short for me. But, the company was good and the food was super yummy. We had a hilarious day where we all wore different colored wigs and went to all the cheap casinos to gamble. We caused quite a stir!! I missed my little man TERRIBLY and couldn't call him to say goodnight after the first night because it made me cry =( However, I did enjoy the break and being away for a bit. And, I loved that I had a chance to get to know the other bridesmaids better before Sarah's big day. Unfortunately, I took my old camera with me and when I got home to download my pictures, I realized that I had already packed my camera cord. So, I have not downloaded them yet. I'm hoping to get to Walmart to have them put on a disk sometime this week and hopefully get a few posted here.

Poor Logan is probably so confused. He keeps saying things like, "We're moving to Texas!" and "We're selling the house." But, I don't know if he really gets it. I'm feeling like we're doing everything for the last time, which makes everything we do a little sad. I turned over the playgroup this weekend, which was pretty hard for me. I know that it is in good hands, but it's always hard to let go of something that you have put so much work into. My last ABLE meeting is next week and my last hospital visit with Lucy is tomorrow night.

We listed the house with a realtor this week and he did an open house today. Wednesday they're doing a showing for the local realtors to come by after their meeting. I'm hoping that this will bring in some more people!! AND--rain, rain go away!!! We've also picked the date for the big move--Oct 30th. We're starting to establish a plan, so that is making things feel a little less chaotic. But, there are still a million decisions to make and things to do.
