More Thanksgiving weekend pics

After Thanksgiving, we went over to Shane's parents to spend some time with them and celebrate Thanksgiving. We had a lot of fun! We went to the mall and hit up some of the sales. They also have some great new shopping opening up near their house, so of course we had to go check it out. Unfortunately, Shane's Dad had to work that day (the post office never sleeps!!!) but Logan did get some good quality time with him before he melted down (see the picture....)

Here's Logan snuggled up on the couch
This is a funny face that Logan has started making lately

Thanksgiving Day

We had such a wonderful Thanksgiving! We got to spend a few days with family which was wonderful. It's so much fun now that Logan is learning who everyone is and can participate in the holidays! Here are a few pictures from our Thanksgiving Day. More entries to follow with the rest of the weekend...

Here's Logan chowing down on his yummy food! Here's Logan and Memaw My cousin's wife Christi and their little boy Brody. He is only 3 months older then Logan.

Cute picture of Logan playing outside

This is our traditional family picture. All of my cousins and I have gotten together at my parents house every Thanksgiving and Christmas for as long as I can remember...over the years our group has just grown and grown!

Turkey Time!!!

It's for you!

I took this picture this morning of Logan playing phone with the dogs. He was holding it up to their ears so they could talk! First Booker (sitting up) and then Lucy. So cute! He loves to bring it to Shane and I so we can talk and then hand it back to him.

We have all been sick lately. Logan had a really bad cold last weekend and into the first part of last week. Shane got it early in the week, and then I got it at the end of the week. Then, Logan's stomach was upset on Thursday and Friday. I'll spare you the details, but lets just say we changed a LOT of diapers. Thankfully we're all on the mend now.
We worked over the weekend to deep clean our house and get Christmas set up. Would you believe that my tree is up and there are wrapped presents under it! It seems like Christmas is going to come early this year for some reason. We're leaving on Wed to head down to TX for Thanksgiving. I'm so excited! We're planning on coming home Sunday and then Shane is on vacation the next week. So, we'll be getting ready for his company party which we're hosting this year on Dec 5.
I know that this time of year is always so hectic, but no matter what-I just love it. It's so challenging for us to pack and load everything up to go to Texas, but I'm so grateful to have so much family there that looks forward to our visits. I keep trying to get Logan to say "turkey." I'll say "What are we going to eat this week?" and then "TURKEY!!!" He sometimes says it and it's adorable.

Christmas Blog

YES! My blog is decorated for Christmas already!!! I'm living it up this year : ) We're actually putting our tree and decorations up this weekend. We're hosting two Christmas parties that are Dec 5 and 6. That is only 2 weeks away! So...you can just deal with it : ) I'm getting into the spirit early this year.

Big Weekend

This was Logan's last ride in the car rear facing...I tried to keep him this way as long as possible. My goal was 18 months but his little legs just got too long! He is still within the height/weight of his carseat to stay rear facing, but look how uncomfortable he looks!! He is loving riding forward facing now : )
Shane and Logan kicked off their boys weekend by making me dinner on Thursday night. They fixed calzones! Here is Shane helping him put the cheese on.After dinner they made brownies. Am I lucky or what?
I think this picture is so funny because it shows Shane talking so seriously to him about the brownies : )

I'm so excited because I finally got in Lucy's Delta gear! This is the new registration that we earned over the summer. I'm still waiting on our official badge but we have our ID number and have been volunteering already with this new certification. But, I have been waiting and waiting for the day that she can have her real vest!!!! It just came in today. Doesn't she look proud?

This was so funny. We have all of our drawers in the kitchen child-proofed but there is one that has our coozies and some cookie sheets that he can get into. (The latch doesn't catch right.) Anyways, this morning I looked over at him and he had gotten out the Cowboys coozie and put it on his milk sippy! I guess I drink one to many diet cokes with coozies on them : )
Then he carried it into our bedroom and put it on a coaster!! How cute!

I'm so relieved to be through with this weekend. We tested about 15 dogs and all but 4 passed. I think those are pretty good odds! It's very emotional for everyone and it's so hard for those who don't pass. We even had one lady storm out and yell! I had about 25 volunteers that I coordinated coming in and I have been fielding email after email for the last few weeks about this. I'm so glad to see my inbox quiet today!

Spoiled???

Do you think he is spoiled??? This is Booker and he LOVES the couch. It looks like he spent some quality time with Shane this weekend! Lucy doesn't get on the couch much but every once in awhile she sneaks in bed with us! In fact, if Shane is out of town I encourage it!!!
I thought these were fitting pictures since I spent my entire weekend at the hospital for the Pet Therapy evaluation. Whew! What a relief that it is over! I have some adorable pictures of Logan from the weekend with Daddy that I'm going to post tomorrow...I'm too tired right now...
